We learn more by looking for the answer to a question and not finding it than we do from learning the answer itself.
We pride ourselves on our work but as important to us is the relationship we have with our clients. We are passionate about what we do and understand that your project is important to you, that's why you're paying someone to do it! We respect this and will always strive to give you the best value for your money as we possibly can.
What does Subsequence mean?
This is a good question and the answer is we don't really know. If you look it up in the dictionary you'll read some stuff about maths that we don't understand. Subsequence was founded by Chris Cox and he had a blog that was called Subsequence. He didn't know what it meant either but he's pretentious and thought it sounded clever. The blog evolved into a freelance side project for Chris and eventually this become Subsequence, the limited company whose website you're reading now.
Where are you based?
We have offices in Liverpool and Huddersfield but work with clients all over the UK and worldwide too.
Project Approach
Our experience has taught us that a website evolves. It may be that you know what you want at the start of the project but once things start to come together there will be things that you didn't think of, and things that aren't quite how you'd imagined. This is fine and is just how these things work an that is why when making any product, prototypes are used. We like to use an iterative approach with chances for you to give feedback throughout the life of project and this means that we don't get to the end and you're left with something you don't like.
